FoodMicro®, a renowned international event held biennially by the International Committee on Food Microbiology and Hygiene (ICFMH, https://icfmh.org/en), traditionally takes place in a European country. However, for the first time, this prestigious conference is expanding beyond Europe.
From October 25 to 28, 2025, FoodMicro® Latino 2025 will be hosted in Aracaju, Sergipe, Brazil, as a parallel event to the 33rd Brazilian Congress of Microbiology, organized by the Brazilian Society of Microbiology. The event will be led by the Brazilian Association for Food Protection (BRAFP, https://brafp.org.br) under the central theme: Sustainability and Food Safety.
The conference aims to foster discussions on sustainable strategies for producing safe food, addressing critical issues that contribute to global food security.
Welcome note
Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the International Committee of Food Microbiology and Hygiene (ICFMH), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the inaugural FoodMicro® Latino 2025, which will be held in the vibrant city of Aracaju, Brazil, from 25th to 28th October 2025.
